CAMBRIDGE 400
A collaborative celebration fostering critical awareness and community engagement for the 400th anniversary of Cambridge, guided by History Cambridge and Lesley University designers
OVERVIEW
Cambridge 400 is a collaborative project that aims to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Cambridge in 2023.
The project is a collaboration between History Cambridge, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Cambridge, and a team of designers from Lesley University. The project builds on the brand guidelines developed for the Cambridge 400 campaign and explores further applications of those guidelines into various deliverables. The main goal of the project is to promote critical thinking and awareness of the past, present and future of Cambridge, as well as the untold histories and diverse perspectives of its people. The project also seeks to showcase the different possibilities and approaches that this event can take and provide suggestions to the client on how to implement them. Moreover, the project aims to enable community engagement and participation from organizations and businesses around Cambridge who are interested in planning and proposing events for Cambridge 400 that align with its mission.
